International Cycling Union (UCI) unveils updated calendar

The International Cycling Union (UCI) today, May 5, unveiled an updated calendar of World Tour cycling. The first major race will be the “Strada Bianca” – August 1.

Not all races have yet received a place in the updated calendar, but the dates of the Grand Tours are already known for sure: the Tour de France 2020 will start on August 29, and will finish in Paris on September 20, the Giro d’Italia will be held from October 3 to October 25, and “Vuelta of Spain” – from October 20 to November 8.

The UCI proposed the following dates for bicycle races: August 1 – “Strada Bianche”, August 5–9 – “Tour of Poland”, August 8 – “Milan – San Remo”, August 12-16 – “Criterium Dofine”, August 16 – Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic, August 25 – Brittany Classic, August 29 – September 20 – Tour de France, September 20-27 – World Cycling Championship on the highway, September 7-14 – Tirreno Adriatico, September 11 – “Quebec Grand Prix”, September 13 – “Montreal Grand Prix”, September 29 – “Bin Bank Tour”, September 30 – “Flash Walloon”, October 3-25 – “Giro d’Italia”, October 4 – Liege – Bastogne – L Hedgehog “, October 10 – Amstel Gold Race, October 11 -” Gent – Wevelgem “, October 14 -” Dvors dor Flanderen “, October 15-20 -” Tour Guangxi “, October 18 -” Tour of Flanders “, October 20 – 8 November – “Vuelta of Spain”, October 21 – “Three days de Panne”, October 25 – “Paris – Roubaix”, October 31 – “Giro di Lombardy”.
